Originally created to fill an international market need, a high density bulkhead application. The DRB Series is a natural expansion to the common contact wire termination approach synonymous with Deutsch Industrial Products Division.

Recently, the DRB completed three years of concept and design testing development, computer refinements, solid modeling, customer response, mold flow analysis and production tooling. A sixty pin layout is available with more layouts planned.

The DRB flange and receptacle are mountable and matable by a single installer from one side of the bulkhead.The insert arrangement uses multiple sizes of contacts.Available in environmental and non-environmental versions.Secondary locks for contacts.Plug and receptacle mate with a single sturdy jackscrew.Requires only a small screw driver and hex wrench to mount and mate.Customer choice of solid or stamped and formed contacts, each terminating with existing tooling.



Operating temperature: Operating at temperatures from -55°C + 125°C @ rated Current.
Current rating: Max 13 amps all contacts.
Sealing: To IP67. Water does not penetrate seals when submerged in 3 feet of water.
Corrosion resistance:
Connectors show no evidence of corrosion after exposure to 48 hours of salt spray per MIL - STD 1344, method 1001.
Fluid resistance:
Connectors show no damage when exposed to most fluids used in industrial applications.

Physical Shock: No unlocking, unmating or other unsatisfactory results during or after 50gs in each of three usually perpendicular planes. No electrical discontinuities longer than 1 microsecond. MIL-STD 202. Method 213, Condition "C".
Maintains continuity and exhibits no mechanical or physical damage after vibration levels of 20 Gs at 10-2000 Hz.
Dielectric Strength: Current leakage less than 2 milliamps at 1500 VAC.
Insulation Resistance: 1000 megohoms minimum at 25°C.
Durability: No electrical or mechanical defects after 100 cycles of engagement and disengagement.
Contact Millivolt Drop: No. 16 contacts - 60 millivolt drop using 16 AWG wire (less drop through wire). Test current 13 amps.
